“In July 2017 I went to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN where they found that I had an active staph-infection which had likely been plaguing my body for over 10 years. The infection had caused issues with my thyroid, digestion, adrenal glands, sleep patterns, white blood cell count, and more.”
If you feel like the doctors you're working with aren't giving you the answers you deserve, or aren't doing their part to send you to someone who will - remember that you have the right to SPEAK UP! You are your own best advocate and I can't begin to express that enough.
Health begins with you.
I went to Mayo clinic in July of 2017, and almost a year later I feel like a completely different individual. I’m still healing; it takes a few years to recoup your immune system after an event such as this, but I’m feeling better and better all the time.
“Now that I had my Hashimotos temporarily under control, my next task was to discover the underlying causes of my digestion issues. What I didn’t know is that I had finally found the right group of medical providers, mentors, and coaches to regain control over my own health. I was so inspired by my personal Health Coach that I began my Certification Training for Health and Wellness Coaching in 2016.”
“I cannot even begin to express my concern for those of you seeking thyroid care in the medical world. I am completely shocked at the number of different diagnoses I’ve received from a variety of health care professionals. Over the last four year alone I have received 8 entirely different answers about my enlarged thyroid and overall health. You read that right, 8 different diagnoses. Along with these 8 ‘answers’ if you can even call them that, I’ve received 21 different prescription plans.”
I feel like I was put here on this Earth to make an impression. The shock value of a situation has always appealed to me. I believe now more than ever if I can use myself and my story as a "shock value" to the world that I may have a real chance at helping people, and finding the answers I seek. The generation I am in has been so completely messed up by social media, and societal standards for living and beauty. Our daily lives and routines have been skewed so badly that it's no wonder chronic health conditions and obesity are running ramped.
